Type a command in main view console like tell and hit send or enter. The send prefix button in lower left must be set to command. If one gets a response back from server, one is connected. If it takes a long time, one is lagging, Tell by itself isn't a complete comamnd but there will be a server response if connected. Guests who can't chat will get one too.
